Debut

Local cafe here in Jax, Steady Coffee, was celebrating their 1st year anniversary with a party. There was cake, cold brew milkshakes, and a market with local makers. Being a regular at Steady and having daydreamed about inBloom setting up there, I took the opportunity to be a part of the market in celebration. Finally ready to make a public appearance and showcase inBloom.

I spent two full days working my day job and then coming home to design gardens until 2 o’clock in the morning! Something kept me going. Working hard for myself, for once, and being spiritually connected to this work. It was a special and surreal time.

So, there I made it just in time to set up my booth at Steady on four hours of sleep. Having prepared with detail, everything fit on the table perfectly. I put on my party hat, and I was ready to sell some gardens. My goal was to sell everything, but I knew that wasn’t entirely realistic. Though, I do believe in inBloom that much. At first, people were paying little to no attention to these gorgeous gardens before them. The imposter syndrome kicked in and I sat with it. Examining the room and the what ifs. But soon enough, the people came admiring the plants, asking questions, and scooping up their favorite garden. My heart was full. Nearly sold everything and connections were made. inBloom was officially out there in the world.

Here are some photos I took during the two late nights getting ready for inBloom’s debut
